Joslyn Read has more than 20 years of business and governmental experience in international satellite and telecommunications policy, trade policy, international relations and advocacy.
In 2006, Ms. Read joined SES New Skies as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs responsible for managing the company's satellite and spectrum licenses worldwide, and conducting the company's policy advocacy with national regulatory agencies and international organizations. In January 2009, the operations of SES Americom and SES New Skies were combined. Ms. Read now manages Regulatory Affairs for the combined business unit.
During her career, Ms. Read has held senior satellite regulatory and international relations positions with Hughes Network Systems, Worldspace; the U.S. FCC International Bureau, and COMSAT Mobile Communications.
Ms. Read was elected Chairman of the Board of the U.S.-based Satellite Industry Association for 2006, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the SIA Trade Working Group on trade and market access issues.
Ms. Read holds diplomas from the University of Pennsylvania (USA); Queen's University (Ontario, Canada), and the University of Granada (Spain).
