This panel explored better ways to use currently available satellite and wireless systems to provide improved communications capabilities to first responders, improve 911 capabilities and establish better standards to protect wireless and emergency communications systems for first responders. Also the need for emergency power systems to support emergency communications systems and ways to use broadcast and new IP based systems were also be considered.
